www.pinkpasty.blogspot.com  - Cornwall Lesbian Line Closes after 20yrs?   |27-05-2009
It is with great sadness I have learned that not only has OUTBACK newsletter closed down after almost ten years, but that CORNWALL LESBIAN LINE, which has functioned as a real genuine gay voluntary community run project (unlike some more recent Cornwall GLBT projects I could mention) for the past twenty years, has also closed down.

Seems there will be few genuine GLBT things left in Cornwall NOT controled by the very organisations & institutions which have discriminated against gay persons in the past (and still do!)

Well done & thank you CLL for all you have done for GLBT people in Cornwall over the past two decades!

I learn from Sue that the OUTBACK magazine/newsletter has indeed stopped. Sue & Kate have done a valiant over the many years this was running. (Sue was previously editor of women's issues of the LGBT ICT publication when I ran it back in the 1990's)

But...Sue tells me an OUTBACK active women's social network is still operating on facebook.

I hear from Sue one of the original founders of OUTBACK, who gave up last year after over 10yrs contribution, that Kate is thinking of giving up 'outback'.

This would be a great shame since this is one of the few independent gay organisations in Cornwall left which is not controled by either the loathsome & homophobic Cornwall police or Intercom Trust.
